Jimmy John's Store Opening Assistant in Duluth, Minnesota
The Opening Assistant will work M-F 6am-10am or Tuesday-Saturday 6am-10am, with potential for more hours if desired. This position will support the General Manager with daily prep work for a successful store opening with minimal customer interaction until store opening. Opening Assistant will have the option to work through lunch if desired with up to 40+ hours available. The Opening Assistant will work in the following areas:
Slicing and preparing fresh cut veggies
Bread preparation and baking
Meat slicing and preparation
Cold table set-up
Basic food and recipe preparation
Putting away inventory in stock room
Complete cleanup activities as needed
Taking customer pre-orders for the day
Other tasks as necessary
Requirements:
Able to comply with all food safety standards
Ability to work scheduled hours
At least 18 years of age
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
Organize and establish priorities in the store with minimal supervision
Additional Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of aged
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
