Product Manager, Alternators (WEG Electric Corp - Duluth, GA) Create and implement business development strategies and plans to meet sales growth targets set for alternator product lines. Work with product sales, marketing, production and engineering teams on product development, inventory control, customer relations, product pricing and technical documentation review. Coordinate all engineered applications and marketing actions for the product line. Develop custom alternators product solutions for client-specific product application needs and local market requirements, applying New Product Introduction (NPI) methodology. Perform sales forecasting for products to inform production planning and work with factories on developing and executing product manufacturing plans. Travel domestically and internationally approximately 30-40% of working time.Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or coordinating product development, manufacturing and sales for alternators and their related components. In lieu of a Master's degree in stated field and 2 years of experience as stated, will accept a Bachelor's degree in stated field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or coordinating product development, manufacturing and sales for alternators and alternator components. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: end-to-end product management for an alternators product line across multiple functional areas, including coordinating customer relations, product pricing, engineering applications, engineering documentation review, and marketing; developing custom alternators product solutions for client-specific product application needs and local market requirements, including applying New Product Introduction (NPI) methodology; supporting end users on alternator product installations and troubleshooting technical issues; creating and implementing business development strategies and plans to meet alternator product sales targets; applying technical knowledge of alternator manufacturing processes, voltage regulators, brushless excitation systems and Genset operation power ratings; performing sales forecasting and monitoring product costs to inform production plans; and communicating complex technical concepts with non-technical audiences, including transferring knowledge of basic technical and commercial aspects of alternator products to sales teams. Experience may be gained concurrently. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30-40% of working time.
