What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive balance sheet strategies, including investment portfolio management and liquidity optimization. Ensure alignment with the Credit Union’s overall financial strategy and risk appetite.

  • Oversee the liquidity position of the Credit Union.

  • Manage the allocation and investment of cash to optimize rate of return and compliance with established policy limits.

  • Manage the trending of cash flows and alert management to changes.

  • Monitors the interest rate risk function of the credit union and independently develops innovative strategies to mitigate risk and enhance portfolio performance.

  • Manage the scenario testing of strategic changes through asset liability management.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive quarterly reporting packages to the Asset Liability Management Committee. Provide high-level insights and strategic recommendations based on financial data and market trends.

  • Monitors market rates, competitor trends, and product concentrations. Independently determine and deliver formal recommendations to CFO for review/approval.

  • Monitor loan and deposit market rates and competitor trends to recommend pricing changes and related strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate treasury management policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, regulation and applicable laws.

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with third-party brokers, investment advisors, and other key stakeholders. Leverage these relationships to enhance the Credit Union’s investment opportunities and strategic positioning

  • Research and recommend new product pricing decisions to management based on analysis performed.

  • Work with CFO and SVP, Finance on the financial impact of regulation and accounting changes specific to areas of responsibility.

  • Independently forecast/manage investment, loan, and deposit yield and growth for budget purposes and report performance to CFO.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive experience in investment management, treasury operations, and asset-liability management, with a proven track record of strategic leadership and decision-making.

  • 5+ years of experience accounting or financial industry, required.

  • Investment portfolio management experience, preferred.

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, risk management principles, and market dynamics.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic initiatives at the executive level.
