Dupaco relies on this position to partner with the Insurance Manager and Insurance Agents in managing the existing commercial insurance member relationships. This position is also responsible for assisting Insurance Agents with building new relationships with members and providing the Dupaco members with the appropriate insurance coverage.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide ongoing servicing of client accounts such as issue certificates of insurance, policy changes, process payments, etc.

  • Follow up and verify pending member policy endorsements by tracking and completing suspenses within the agency management system.

  • Processes daily downloads from carriers, verification & completion of endorsements, manage the flow of documents in and out of the agency management system including carrier e-docs, new and cancelled policies with Phoenix integration, and regular mail and email distribution.

  • Assist Insurance Agents and Senior Insurance Agents in acquiring new clients through various avenues such as: internal cross sale system, networking, internet referrals and client referrals.

  • Assist Insurance Agents and Senior Insurance Agents with ensuring the development, with insurer’s recommendations, and options to adequately and economically meet clients’ insurance needs.

  • Assist Insurance Agents and Senior Insurance Agents with managing insurance quotes and servicing for complex insurance situations (ie. multiple lines), including but not limited to commercial and personal line policies.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the insurance industry, markets and products as well as monitor and maintain client service standards to assure client satisfaction and retention.

  • Assist with sales overflow and walk in clients as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience in insurance industry

  • 1+ year of insurance servicing or agent experience, preferred

  • Acquire and maintain insurance specific license or other designation (CIC, CISR, etc.)

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written, and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize, organize time, and to work independently

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Must maintain confidentiality in all credit union matters
