Dupaco Community Credit Union has an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Commercial Insurance Agent! In addition to these foundational believes, this position is also responsible for building relationships. Your relationship building efforts will focus on your ability to offer protection for both existing and new commercial insurance clients through recommendations and quotes for appropriate insurance coverage. You will serve as a great resource for all of their Commercial Insurance needs!

What You’ll Do:
Ensure the development, with insurer’s recommendations, and options to adequately and economically meet commercial clients’ insurance needs.
Meet with commercial clients to explain coverage and endorsement options, recommend appropriate levels of coverage and develop policies based on their decision.
Maintain a solid book of business for existing clients, and grow new business base through a range of networking and sales tactics, including networking and prospecting for potential customers to effectively articulate the company’s competitive advantage and new products
Remain educated on all insurance coverage provisions, the overall insurance industry, regulations, and pertinent legislation to ensure customers understand their coverage terms and insurance services in the process, and maintain compliance with all relevant statutory and industry requirements and codes.
Deliver a high level of personal attention to prospective and existing customers, personally visiting them to follow up as needed, and provide coaching management on commercial insurance policy options upon request
Develop and present risk management assessments to advise clients on ways to minimize and avoid claims, discuss potential claims with client, and work towards a timely and favorable claim settlement.
Maintain ongoing servicing of commercial client accounts by keeping clients appropriately informed of all matters related to insurance and performing annual onsite policy reviews to ensure recommended coverage is still appropriate.
Monitor and maintain commercial client service standards to assure client satisfaction and retention.
Prepare and execute policy documentation that implements commercial clients’ instructions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience in insurance industry
1+ year of insurance agent experience, preferred
Acquire and maintain all proper insurance licensing
Excellent listening, verbal and written, and presentation skills
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing insurance
Excellent problem solving ability
Ability to prioritize, organize time, and to work independently
Excellent computer skills
Must maintain confidentiality in all credit union matters
