Job Summary:

The Meter Assembly Manager is responsible for managing the overall production activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of production supervisors and professionals, developing and implementing production procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Meter Assembly Manager conducts regular audits, reviews production data, and collaborates with other departments to address production issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing Production Supervisors, documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on production performance to senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding established manufacturing performance goals and objectives and maintenance of all required reporting documentation relative to the value streams.

  • Lead effective utilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts, tools and processes throughout value streams.

  • Research, plan, target, control, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed to enhance:

  • Safety

  • Quality

  • Productivity

  • Overall customer satisfaction

  • Provide leadership and support to multiple Value Stream Supervisors and Leads to:

  • administer manufacturing compliance with internally defined policies, processes and procedures while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • execute cost effective labor management

  • collaborate with HR to administer and enforce corporate and/or local policies, rules, and requirements to include necessary corrective actions.

  • identify capital needs to support cost effective growth of the business

  • provide feedback to quality/material/procurement groups to improve supplier product performance

  • collaborate with materials team to develop short and long-term production plans

  • execute daily build plans

  • Play an active role in development, execution, and achievement of departmental budgets.

  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully work with cross functional teams and interact professionally with any level of the organization.

  • Maintain a “Customer First” focus and engage in customer interactions (internal & external) to provide a positive experience and learning for both the customer and Xylem.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field with at least 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent manufacturing supervisory experience will be considered..

  • Hands-on experience in ISO, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement philosophies and techniques is preferred. Ability to implement LEAN and Safety initiatives as required.

  • Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn BPCS, Workday, MES (ShopVue) and Microsoft Office products.

  • Scope: Must exhibit good organizational skills and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Ability to gain and hold the respect of managers, peers and subordinates through a solid reputation built upon a positive, professional and highly ethical leadership approach. Ability to train others and work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. Ability and desire to work overtime (daily or weekend)and flexibility to work any shift as required to support the team.

Salary range:

$70,500.00 - $126,500.00
