Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team. This role offers a starting pay of $15/hr with an additional $1.75 shift differential for night shifts. Upon completing a 3-week training period, pay will increase to $16.50 for day shifts and $18.25 for night shifts, including the shift differential. We are currently hiring for both day shift (7am-7pm) and night shift (7pm-7am) positions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and tow motors safely.

• Assist in moving materials throughout the plant and various stations.

• Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Document paperwork as needed and conduct inventory counts.

• Support other areas as needed and directed by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

• Forklift experience required.

• Basic computer skills.

• Understanding and following basic verbal and written instructions.

• Effective communication skills across various levels within the organization.

• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

• Ability to perform basic visual quality inspections on products.

• Capability to maintain the production pace of other team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Steel toe work boots required.

• Physical ability to stand for long periods (typically 12 hours a day).

• Capacity to engage in repetitive motions, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of materials.

• Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturing/production facility that is non-climate controlled. When it is hot outside, it tends to be steamy inside, and when it is cold outside, it is usually comfortable inside due to the heat produced by the machines. This role requires working a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of second shift hours (7pm-7am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DUBLIN, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.25/hr.
