Team Leader Central Management Unit – (Hybrid)
Salary Range: ($51,100 - $53,800) depending on experience and qualifications.

As a Team Leader of the Central Management Unit (CMU), you will operate from our Dublin, OH office and your home office, while being an integral member of a nationwide supportive team dedicated to providing administrative support to the Clinical Teams of Nurses and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors assigned to high profile Federal contracts. As a Care Team Lead you will coordinate operations and outcomes of the CMU Care Associates team including daily case assignments, worklist management, quality assurance activities, and case closure. The Team Lead will support the Manager with training, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation. You will ensure high standards of service delivery and compliance, while playing a crucial role in enhancing patient care.
Team Leader of Central Management Unit Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the CMU Manager, VP of Medical Services, and SGS- MCA management team in establishing and enhancing policies, protocols, and outcomes regarding the CMU unit program.
Provide support to team members for cases requiring specialized knowledge and/or skill, which may include cases that are high acuity, high profile, congressional, potential media events, highly litigated, fraudulent, and/or long-term disability.
Manage individual direct report workloads and customer service responsibilities as assigned and modify them as needed to optimize unit performance.
Oversee the capture of patient referral data for case management services to enter referrals into proprietary systems in an expedited and accurate fashion
Ensure timely upload of completed reports and invoices into appropriate systems.
Monitor assigned worklists for incoming documents and referrals and adjusts workloads, as needed
Support the development of unit policies, protocols, work instructions, and job aids to achieve optimum successful outcomes from CMU services.
Serve as a resource to CMU Care Advocates in the application of policies and procedures to daily operations.
Collaborate with Unit Management to ensure contact and reporting requirements are met.
Provide leadership and assistance to staff in daily operations. Motivate and manage staff to ensure performance standards are met or exceeded.
Collaborate with Unit Management to provide timely direct feedback to staff through scheduled guidance/coaching sessions and mid-year/annual evaluations. This includes supporting active coaching and engaging employees to enhance their performance and commitment. Assist employees in developing the skills needed to achieve optimal performance and strong performance in their roles.
Work with Unit Management to resolve employee conflict by utilizing improvement efforts, multidisciplinary strategies, problem-solving skills, and conflict management. Make timely decisions based on evaluating outcomes and communicating the results effectively so that the employee understands the reason behind the decision.
Monitor employee attendance and approve timesheets of direct reports. Authorize vacations and personal days in accordance with staffing needs.

Team Leader of Central Management Unit Qualifications
GED or High School diploma required
Associate degree (or higher) in clinical or medical health administration or related field preferred
A minimum of two years’ experience in workers' compensation, claims administration, utilization review, or related field·
Supervisory experience preferred
Medical terminology expertise preferred
Experience with the Federal Employee Compensation Act (FECA) and
FECA-related issues preferably, as applicable.
Customer Service experience in the medical field preferred
Ability to utilize an Electronic Medical Record or other electronic platform
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft applications and demonstrate basic electronic technology understanding
Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to pass a background check
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, tech savvy
Appreciate and comply with all confidentiality requirements
Responsible for having reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in established home office
Must have Excellent Communication Skills via Phone, E-Mail, Text, Verbal, and Documentation Skills and provide 24-hour follow-up to all communication

Sedgwick Government Solutions provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of a specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($51,100 - $53,800).
