About the role We are seeking a Manager of AI Software Engineering to lead the development of innovative AI solutions that are transforming healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful projects that enhance patient care while guiding a team of talented engineers in a collaborative and dynamic environment. As a Manager of AI Software Engineering, you will lead a team in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI models and secure, cloud-native applications. Leveraging technologies like Python, Java, Node.js, and React, you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, provide mentorship to engineers, and play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of AI projects. This position combines strategic leadership with technical expertise, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on healthcare through innovation and teamwork. What you'll do (Essential Responsibilities) * Partner with the Principal AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions, including optimizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms, and other state-of-the-art tools. * Play a hands-on role in solving complex technical challenges, including debugging and optimizing AI systems when needed. * Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies and frameworks to solve complex healthcare challenges and deliver high-impact solutions. * Ensure AI projects align with the organization's strategic vision and technical roadmap. * Manage the end-to-end technical delivery of AI projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. * Actively contribute to critical areas of development or debugging, stepping in when challenges arise to ensure project success. * Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and risk management to drive successful outcomes. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining the security and integrity of AI systems. * Monitor the progress of AI initiatives, providing updates to leadership and resolving technical or operational roadblocks. * Mentor and coach team members, fostering technical growth, innovation, and collaboration within the AI engineering team. * Build and maintain a high-performing team, identifying skill gaps and recommending hiring strategies to address them. * Encourage a culture of knowledge sharing through code reviews, technical workshops, and team discussions. * Provide career development opportunities and guidance to ensure team members reach their full potential. * Lead by example, contributing code and demonstrating technical best practices to inspire the team. * Systems Integration & Cloud-Native Development * Architect and oversee the implementation of secure, scalable, and cloud-native AI
