Goken America, LLC Design Engineer II in DUBLIN, Ohio
Responsibilities:
Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation. Analyze and resolve problems with moderate level of guidance and direction. Create part specification requirements and BOM. Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers. Validate designs by performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) utilizing available CAE/CFD software tools, as necessary. Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs. Travel to client sites required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing) and 3 yrs relevant exp., including 2 years of experience using 3-D modeling software NX; 2 years of experience with sheet metal and body structures product design; good understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing); ability to interpret CAE results and integrate recommendations into product designs; and proficiency in MS office. Telecommuting option -- employee must live in Ohio.
