Citigroup Vice President - KYC Operations Transformation Lead in Dublin, Ireland

The KYC Operations Transformation Lead (Vice President) is a senior-level position responsible for transforming Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Know Your Customer (KYC) activities by leading projects to simplify, automate and digitize KYC Operational Processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic projects to simplify, automate and digitize KYC Operational Processes.

  • Deliver projects to enable Citi to turn KYC into a key competitive advantage by transforming the E2E program, improving client experience, reducing the cost of KYC, decreasing turn-around time, and increasing Risk Management Effectiveness.

  • Establish management reporting routines to keep stakeholders up to date on project status, accomplishments and milestones.

  • Provide input into Business Requirements document to enable technology to deliver solutions.

  • Perform program management of global and regional projects to transform processes and technologies.

  • Work with global and regional Operations teams to understand their processes and technology platforms to understand pain-points and opportunities to automate and digitize.

  • Liaise with Compliance department and senior management within business units supported.

  • Manage BAU processes and procedures to maintain operational processes.

  • Consult with users and clients to solve system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and data flow. Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

  • Manage User Acceptance Testing including test strategy, test plan, test scripts, test reporting and defect management.

  • Liaise with Technology staff to ensure that requirements are understood and that functional and design proposals are fit for purpose.

  • Support testing cycles including providing test cases, executing test scripts, defect remediation and support UAT and business partner test cycles.

  • Understand business priorities, documenting requirements and determining solutions in partnership with the internal teams.

  • Maintain ‘Book of Work’ for new system releases and enhancements to existing infrastructure.

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Organizing and delivering functional presentations in stakeholder meetings

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role.

  • Solid working knowledge and experience in KYC requirements, procedures and data.

  • Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel and Access.

  • Strong Business Analysis, methodical approach to problem solving and data analysis skills.

  • Experience of defining/documenting business strategies/requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred
