The mission of the Hyperscale Network Connectivity (HNC) team is to build and manage the global network for the Microsoft Cloud. We are responsible for managing Fiber, Optical, WAN, Metro and Edge connectivity globally for all Microsoft services. This role provides you with the opportunity to effect change that will have enterprise-wide impacts. As a Technical Program Manager, you will work alongside our Engineering and Product teams to define and establish the strategic direction of Microsoft’s network edge portfolio.

Candidates need to have demonstrated written and verbal communication, an understanding for technology, experience providing guidance and direction to technical audiences, ability to drive towards the “big picture” while managing details, and the ability to build relationships with key partners.

Responsibilities

• You will identify unknown or unmet needs within our processes and roadmap. You’ll then clarify strategic directions and define solution options for those areas.

• You will partner with others to collect performance metrics, monitor and report on progress, and derive insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve features or feature areas.

• You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for Edge network roadmap and augments.

• You will collaborate with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules and help monitor processes and hold stakeholders accountable.

• You will deliver results amidst ambiguous and changing business requirements by demonstrating a self-driven work ethic.

Qualifications

Required Qualifcation:

• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional / Preferred Qualifcations:

• Bachelor's Degree AND considerable experience in cloud scale network infrastructure, engineering, and/or product/technical program management.

• Considerable experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
