Citigroup Relationship Associate - GSG (Evergreen) in Dublin, Ireland

Job Purpose:

As part of the GSG Relationship Management Team the role is to partner with GSG Regional Relationship Managers (RAM) on an assigned portfolio of clients, by providing consistent, enthusiastic, high quality support of relationship management activities.

The portfolio consists of Citi’s subsidiary clients across EMEA region.

Job Background/context:

Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) is part of Corporate and Investment Banking and both are within the Institutional Client Group, (ICG).

GSG is a world-wide network that supports clients globally and delivers a full spectrum of services locally in over 103 countries.

You will need a sound knowledge of ICG’s risk policies, Citi’s core product range, KYC and the Regulatory environment. You will be accountable for correct legal and marketing hierarchies and maintenance of client information. Be able to navigate Citi’s extensive network in support of Revenue growth and origination and to help drive internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with GSG RAMs in support of new business and revenue growth for a designated portfolio of clients.

  • Provide guidance and support to the dedicated SAM network and co-ordinate closely with PAMs

  • Support account strategies by developing an institutional understanding of the client, eg; their treasury model and philosophy, funding model and cash management strategy, wallet sharing and bank group, decision making, subsidiary support policy.

  • Effectively engage the Network and Product partners in support of opportunities and help position products and services to clients.

  • Secure effective engagement of Product, Service and Delivery to support the execution and resolution of client related issues.

  • Drive the credit approval process, respond to credit requests and enquiries, monitor credit lines and usages, support over-rides, recommend efficiencies.

  • Ensure Legal, Support and Credit documentation is up to date.

  • Act as a back up to Banker

  • Support the resolution of Compliance/KYC/AML related risk issues

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Citi’s credit policies and procedures

  • Understanding of KYC and regulatory environment

  • Good understanding of Citi’s flow products (cash management, trade, FX, loans)

  • Strong Research capability through various applications to obtain data

  • Positive track record of working in a demanding environment and under pressure

  • 3-5 years of banking experience, preferably in relationship or account management.

Skills:

  • ability to manage demands from several sources, working to tight deadlines, multitasking

  • proven organizational skills

  • Disciplined and punctual

  • Ability to engage partners and leverage the network

  • Articulate in communication both verbal and written word:

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail / clarity

  • Proactive working style, self-learner with can-do attitude

  • Inclusive team spirit

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/ Master Degree

  • Fluent in English

  • Proven successful track record in working with external and internal clients

Competencies:

  • Able to create and sustain valuable working relationships with clients, with product partners and stakeholders

  • Able to take the initiative to follow through whilst exercising sound judgment as to when to seek assistance or escalation

  • Works as a partner and seen as a team player

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and similarly at all levels on the client side

  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Able to function effectively and maintain objectives under pressure
