Microsoft Corporation Program Manager II - App Compatability in Dublin, Ireland

In the App Compatibility team, we make sure the applications and devices you use daily continue to work seamlessly as we continue to change and improve the underlying OS. We ship functionality in the box, we support services to keep Windows healthy, and we’re at the center of shipping new Windows versions to every capable device in the ecosystem. Our team is integral to successfully shipping new Microsoft and 3rd party devices and supporting a diverse high-quality ecosystem of PCs, AR/MR devices, game consoles, and more. For the Server and Azure business across customers of every size from one-person shops to the biggest enterprises, we’re making it easier to upgrade existing environments that support a wide variety of apps and workloads and for new instances to be started on the Azure platform.

In this role you will support our efforts to find compatibility problems as close to the developer's keyboard as possible. You'll use data to help us get more efficient and effective at finding, diagnosing, and predicting compatibility problems. You’ll help ensure we’re shipping the full portfolio of Microsoft operating systems at the highest quality and enable our ecosystem of applications and devices to “just work.” You’ll help enable IT Admins to modernize their infrastructure with confidence. You’ll be at the center of our aspiration to become ever more data driven by leveraging data science and technology to scale our efforts. How? You'll apply data intelligence and machine learning efforts to streamline our suites of automated tests and help us pinpoint compatibility bugs faster.


  • Relevant years of program management experience shipping products

  • Experience working on OS, embedded systems or similarly deep technological areas

  • Experience writing functional specifications, and collaborating with software engineers and data scientists

  • Excellent track record of cross group collaboration

  • Ambitious, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented

  • Experience using data to solve problems and exposure to latest data science techniques
