As an Associate Finance Director of GBS, you will play a pivotal role in leading the value tracking office and team. Your responsibilities include overseeing GBS value oversight to ensure the success of the GBS organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and Implement Value Tracking Methodologies : As a Value Tracking leader, you’ll create and implement methodologies to measure the performance and success of projects and programs. This involves defining clear metrics and KPIs that align with business objectives.

  • Monitor and Report on Value Realization : Throughout the lifecycle of projects, you’ll continuously monitor and assess the value delivered. Regular reporting will help stakeholders understand progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop Value Tracking Tools and Dashboards : Creating real-time visibility into project performance is crucial. You’ll lead the development of tools and dashboards that provide relevant information to leadership.

  • Provide Insights and Recommendations : Your role includes analyzing data and providing insights to enhance value delivery. You’ll recommend adjustments to project strategies and tactics based on your findings.

  • Facilitate Value Tracking Reviews : Regular reviews with project teams and executive leadership will allow you to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities. These sessions foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure Compliance with Standards : You’ll adhere to organizational standards and industry best practices related to value management. Consistency and compliance are vital for accurate tracking.

  • Provide Valuation Analysis Decision Support : When evaluating key project workstreams, you’ll offer valuation analysis and decision-making support. This helps guide strategic choices and resource allocation.

  • Support Company Forecast and Close Processes : As a Value Tracking leader, you’ll also play a crucial role in supporting company-wide forecasting and financial close processes. This involves collaborating with finance teams, analyzing data, and ensuring accurate reporting during financial cycles.

  • Target Setting and Long-Range Planning Support : You’ll contribute to setting targets and supporting long-range planning. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish goals. Your insights will help align project initiatives with the organization’s strategic vision over an extended period.

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 10-12+ years years of professional work experience in Finance and Accounting

  • At least 3+ years of work experience on valuation and business planning

  • SAP or other ERP systems experience

  • CPG industry experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent technical understanding of valuation modeling (DCF, Perpetuity, IRR, WACC, etc) and financial valuation techniques.

  • Strong analytical skills needed to evaluate and consolidate large quantities of data

  • Excellent written & verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizing skills

  • Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to develop new reporting processes, controls, and requirements

  • Ability to identify process improvements opportunities and implement the appropriate process modifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and interdependencies within financial statements

  • Ability to supervise and coach team members on key responsibilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams

  • Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships

  • Ability to take personal ownership and ensure timely resolution of issues

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • MBA, CPA, CFA a plus, but not required

Workplace type:

Hybrid: 3 days Office - 2 days HO
