WestRock Company Maintenance Planner in Dublin, Georgia
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing superior maintenance and administrative planning services to internal and external customers, especially for maintenance technical personnel assigned to the operational areas in the mill. The Maintenance Planner executes the critical planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities to ensure operational effectiveness.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Excellence
Maintain backlog of work orders and move work orders to the ready-to-schedule phase, and review technician feedback upon work completion
Track the progress of work order flow through the work order system by performing plant and/or maintenance department day\u2010to\u2010day reviews
Plan all maintenance work activities associated with maintenance work orders and record technician troubleshooting feedback in SAP
Coordinate outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, risk assessments, execution and continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct initial screening of incoming work orders, identify scope of the work orders and analyze required level of planning
Partner with Validators to ensure that plans and schedules are aligned based on the available equipment to support the mill
Incorporate safety requirements for all work orders and jobs to support and drive safe work behaviors
Estimate required hours on work order requests, total work hours duration, and skills required to perform the task to drive work order staff planning
Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of work orders and resolve any work order issues
Maintain real-time equipment bill of materials in CMMS, including parts that have changed and new equipment being put in
Procure new equipment and specialized tools required for the task or project
Create, review, revise and release preventive maintenance work orders
Comply with ISO, Safety, Environmental and other technical codes and regulations
Monitor and approve inventory orders to control storeroom spend according to planned budget
Facilitate daily core team meetings to review planned work orders, prioritize and schedule the maintenance tasks to reduce any machinery downtime
People and Culture
Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
Work cross-divisionally with operations, reliability, and maintenance teams to enable efficiency and consistency for plant operations
Supervise contract resources directly on specific work orders during outages to allocate resources effectively

Required: 2 to 3 years of experience manufacturing maintenance environment
Required: Associate\u2019s Degree (or higher education)

Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
