Wyndham Dubai Deira s now seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab

SUMMARY

The role holder will contribute to the performance of the hotel under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and Cluster Executive Housekeeper; is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests. To ensure that all Public Areas in the Hotel and periphery areas are cleaned and maintained according to the highest standards established with in the productivity limit in a Shift of allocated area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag always as per company policy.

  • To attend daily briefing at beginning of each shift in selected areas conducted by direct leader.

  • To be aware of the company values and objectives such as CES and GFQ.

  • Be fully trained on hotel standards and procedures required to carry out daily tasks.

  • Use and maintain all chemicals, supplies and equipment as per hotel standards.

  • Service, replenish and prepare all allocated guest rooms & guest area as per hotel standards.

  • Arrange and handle the equipment as per standards to avoid damages in the corridor.

  • Operate machinery and equipment according to hotel standards, ensuring a safe and hazard free work environment.

  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests to make them happy.

  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

  • Responsible for taking care of the Hotel property in the work area.

  • Overall servicing of the guest rooms, guest public area to include, but not limited to: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, balcony cleaning, replenish room linen and amenities, etc., as per standard.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas & ensure all designated areas are always in top shape.

  • To have excellent knowledge about the product and be able to make basic conversations with guest or offer guidance

  • Complies with hotel’s health & safety and hygiene policy.

  • Ready to work on flexible shift based on the department operational requirements.

  • To follow the hotel key control policy.

  • Carry out and complete all daily assigned tasks as per hotel standards.

  • Report malfunctioning tools, incidents, accidents and guest room issues correctly to supervisor as per hotel standards.

  • Report lost and found articles as per hotel standards.

  • Report all missing items from room (e.g. Irons/hair dryers, etc.) to the Housekeeping Supervisors

  • Report in-rooms, hotel safe issues as per hotel standards and policies.

  • Report unusual guest behavior or activities as per hotel standards.

  • Liaise with the housekeeping control desk for any public area concerns such as change of functions etc.

  • Check the service ability of all equipment in the allocated section.

  • Reports all maintenance orders and ensure work gets completed according to the standard

  • Have thorough knowledge of the layout of the guest rooms and corridors, and all Housekeeping storage spaces with what they hold.

  • Use guest names and personalize conversations by checking the names of guests before ringing the doorbell/ entering the guest rooms.

  • Be fully aware of the GFQ standards and always abides by the set guidelines

  • Attend training whenever required by the hotel.

  • Participates in the multi – skilling philosophy of the department.

  • Assists in conducting physical inventory of cleaning equipment and master keys, chemicals, Linen, Guest supplies and various assets as scheduled.

  • Assists Housekeeping Supervisor in special tasks such as stores set up, furniture movements, periodic preventive cleaning etc.

  • Carry out any other job-related duties as requested by department.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to follow instruction

  • Detail oriented

  • Professional attitude is required

  • Ability to work independently

  • Is physically fit to lift and carry heavy objects and move flexibly.

  • Ability to communicate via written and spoken in English.

  • Has Basic knowledge in cleaning chemicals and tools

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION

  • Ideally 1- 2 years in similar role in the hospitality industry

  • Fluent English language skills written and spoken, Arabic is a plus
