About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Guest Relations Manager to join Jumeirah Burj Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Prepare the VIP arrivals list, allocating designated managers and butlers.

  • Inspect rooms/suites of top VIPs on arrival and staying in house.

  • Assist with group registration when required and supervise special room drops for VIP guests or groups prior to arrival.

  • Takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur.

  • Attend to the special requests made by VIP guests either prior to, during, or after their stay.

  • Perform any related duties and special projects as requested by the Guest Relations Manager.

  • Assist with tasks of the Guest Relations Manager with their duties and be fully in charge of the department in their absence.

  • Provide regular feedbacks for the team ensuring team follows company procedures and standards, diagnose departmental progress, ensures that departmental systems are in place to support the accomplishment of hotel goals.

  • Participate in designing training programs for subordinates, carry out and record training within the department as required.

  • Cover Duty Manager shifts as required.

About you:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in managerial position or 2 years experience in supervisory role at Front Office or Guest Relations Department at Luxury Establishment or Hotel.

  • Sufficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, HotSOS, and Opera PMS).

  • Fluency in the English language.

  • Additional language would be an advantage.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills to engage others without requiring direct authority.
