Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional who understands all key policies and process relevant to procurement operations to join our Group Services team. The Procurement Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the GRC function within the Shared Services Organization. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and compliance standards that align with the organization’s procurement policies and objectives. The GRC Assistant Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to foster a compliant, efficient, and risk-resilient procurement environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Governance Support

  2. Assist in establishing and maintaining procurement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant practices across the organization.

  3. Collaborate with procurement and business stakeholders to reinforce adherence to governance standards and provide guidance on policy interpretation.

  4. Risk Management

  5. Support the identification, assessment, and monitoring of procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, supplier risks, and regulatory changes.

  6. Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigating strategies in partnership with procurement teams to proactively address potential risks.

  7. Assist in tracking and reporting key risk metrics to senior management, ensuring timely awareness of high-risk issues.

  8. Compliance Monitoring

  9. Develop a Compliance Monitoring Program and conduct regular compliance audits to ensure that procurement activities adhere to internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices.

  10. Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting procurement, such as anti-bribery, ESG, and ethical sourcing requirements.

  11. Prepare reports on compliance findings, non-conformities, and recommended actions, working with relevant teams to implement corrective measures.

  12. Data Governance and Reporting

  13. Support data governance initiatives by ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and integrity across procurement platforms and reports.

  14. Assist in the preparation of compliance and risk reports, providing data analysis and insights for senior management review.

  15. Training and Awareness

  16. Assist in developing training materials and delivering sessions to procurement staff on governance, risk, and compliance topics.

  17. Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness by organizing workshops, webinars, and regular updates on relevant GRC practices.

  18. Continuous Improvement

  19. Identify opportunities to enhance GRC frameworks, tools, and processes, working with the GRC Lead to implement improvements.

  20. Support the adoption of digital tools, such as process mining and automation, to streamline compliance monitoring and risk management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field. Professional certification in procurement, risk management, or compliance (e.g., CIPS, CFE) is an advantage.

  • Experience : Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement, compliance, risk management, or governance, preferably within a shared services or corporate setting.

  • Technical Skills :

  • Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and compliance tools.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge : Understanding of procurement and supply chain principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks.
