Carmeuse Americas Production Manager in DRUMMOND ISLAND, Michigan
Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing hourly employees in their designated area. This includes daily/long term planning in safety, quality, production planning, budgeting, and capital projects; facilitating conflict resolution and other HR issues within the work team; attaining safety, quality, cost, and environmental goals; meeting or exceeding goals and production targets on a consistent basis; and maintaining an active role of direct reports
Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist and coach team(s) to ensure quality, production, and shipment requirements are being met; maintain a safe workplace and work culture in accordance with company policy(s) and MSHA standards; stay current with new equipment and technology in the industry; and meet budgeted production targets.
Maintain environmental compliance per company policy, permits, and government regulations; manage data captured including but not limited to SAP inputs, time card maintenance, EMS system, Blast reporting.
Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies; implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively; ensure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production process.
Participate in long term capital project planning and manage capital projects within department.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (or equivalent experience), construction or related field
5 years of experience in mining or construction environment is preferred
Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions with understanding of heavy equipment and mining operations.
Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities and must be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environments.
