eBay, Inc. seeks Policy Specialist 3 in Draper, UT
Job Duties: Analyze and transform the data into action using visualization tools. Understand the complexity of the eBay data warehouse to write complex SQL queries to extract data from multiple data sources in the Hadoop database platform. Real-world understanding of the complexity of eBay systems, user experience and business objectives to provide meaningful analysis and insights. Develop and maintain dashboards that track compliance to eBay policies, counterfeit trends in the marketplace and from intellectual property rights owners. Develop Python code to build Machine Learning models that assist in the detection and prevention of counterfeit items. Leverage technical skills obtained from master's degree coursework in Computer Science such as Distributed Database Systems, Data Visualization, Data Mining, Fundamentals of Statistical Machine Learning to analyze data and solve complex business problems. Represent findings in business reviews and speak to insights and analytical results to partner with colleagues on shared responsibilities. Partial telecommuting permitted from within commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered, as a Policy Specialist/Analyst, or a related occupation.
