County of Bucks, Department of Corrections Corrections Officer in DOYLESTOWN, Pennsylvania

This employer will be on-site conducting interviews at our Multi-Industry Job Fair which will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the PA CareerLink Bucks County, 4800 E. COME JOIN OUR TEAM -- First year earnings between $60,000-$92,000. The more you work additional hours the higher earning potential. Starting hourly rate is $25.04 per hour and after 6 months it goes up to $25.92 per hour, non-exempt position + roll call pay (15 minutes overtime for every full shifts) + $1.45 per hour shift differential if applicable to hours worked, paid training at the regular pay rate, uniforms provided & maintained, 15 holidays, union security, great benefits (Keystone East HMO Medical plan), County pension, Union pension after 12 months of service paid for by the County.

React Exam Waiver - Waivers will be given for a candidate with a minimum of ten (10) years of law enforcement experience included but not limited to a Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Military service with an honorable discharge. Your request must be submitted in writing to the Bucks County Department of Corrections.

General duty corrections work maintaining security and discipline in the Bucks County Correctional System on an assigned shift. Work includes responsibility for supervising offenders at a work location, in housing units, transporting to and from outside appointments and between institutions and in the performance of general tasks as required. Work is performed under the supervision of higher-level corrections personnel. Work involves regular exposure to unpredictable conditions and occasionally requires the expenditure of physical effort in restraining and subduing offenders.
