Our client, a procurement company based in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Collections Professional to join their team. As a Collections Professional, you will be responsible for coordinating and following through on collecting payments, collection plans, reducing past due, bad debt exposure, and other quantitative targets, by performing portfolio management activities for customer base of key accounts. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Position Title: Collections Professional

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Downers Grove, IL

Job Type: 6-month contract with the potential to convert to FTE

Full-time or Part-time: Full-time (contractor)

Pay Range: $24-30/hr.

What’s the Job?

• Initiate collection calls to customers

• Identify issues contributing to account delinquency

• Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports

• Make recommendations to management regarding customers to be placed on hold or sent to collection

• Review credit limits for new and existing accounts

What’s Needed?

• 5+ years of experience in a collection’s role in a commercial (B2B) environment

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level or above (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

• ERP experience (Ex. SAP, Oracle etc.)

• Portfolio size of 200+accounts that range in $100k-$10M+ Strong account reconciliation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and customer service focused
