Description:
Somatus is looking for a Clinical Data Analyst to join our quickly growing organization. In this role, you will work with the Data Science and Clinical Informatics team to design cutting edge solutions for our clinical and operations team. Your role is extremely important in helping us tell the story through complex data sources. If you have a knack for story-telling or translating, you will be the perfect candidate!
Responsibilities:
This role will primarily support HEDIS reporting and Analytics.
Use advanced tools in Excel to create standardized reporting (ie pivots, slicers, global filters, spark lines, conditional formatting, VBA for automation)
Use and able to learn other BI tools such as Power BI to re-create dashboards for automation.
Generate insights and translate from data into meaningful impact
Create standardized scorecards, leading indicators, KPIs for ongoing monitoring for clinical and operations performance on effectiveness and cost impact
Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
Qualifications:
Required
Healthcare experience in a Payer, Provider/Hospital, Org a must
Knowledge of SQL, Advanced Excel functions (pivots, slicers, spark lines, VBA)
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, advanced Excel) and data frameworks (e.g. Azure, Cloud) · Proven experience as a Data Analyst
Experience in data mining – extracting, storing, transforming
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
Problem-solving aptitude
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant field; advanced degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred but not required
