Description: Position is responsible for evaluating and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, target continual improvement initiatives and address quality corrective action. This position also manages aspects of the safety, regulatory, and compliance program. Job Duties/Skills: Process and Quality Engineering 1. Optimizes productivity and quality processes by helping to implement, evaluate, and integrate into production new test standards and processes. 2. Audits production areas daily on compliance to applicable quality and safety standards. Communicates findings and recommendations to management. 3. Collects and analyzes process data to identify trends and define improved process parameters which will reduce process variation, reduce scrap, and improve process efficiency. 4. Assists with all quality evaluations to help identify root cause, recommendations for corrective action and process improvement. 5. Defines and generates quality work procedures, test procedures, and conformance standards for machine operations and process control equipment. 6. Manages calibration program which entails the monitoring and calibration of all critical to quality inspection devices. Responsible to ensure all are calibrated within needed calibration cycle. This includes external standards, external calibration vendors, and in-house programs. 7. Analyze workflow and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. 8. Works to develop new products by defining process parameters, running trials, and defining outputs to management with recommendations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Safety, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance 9. Maintain and apply knowledge on safety, regulations, and industrial processes. This includes managing and preforming all functions related to fire inspections, eye wash/showers checks, and equipment inspections. 10. Review employee safety programs and recommend improvement. 11. Promote programs within the organization. 12. Manage training program system for all employees on safety programs which includes but is not limited : forklift safety, hazardous waste, hazard communication, blood borne pathogen, emergency action plans, fire safety, and lock out tag out. 13. Conducts safety audits as needed and work-related accident investigations and recommends improvements. 14. Ensures compliance to regulatory hazardous management standards, by managing hazardous waste processing and inspection on all satellite, accumulation areas and production use areas. 15. Ensures compliance to monitoring of VOC emissions and other environmental requirements by performing daily audits of relevant production areas. General 16. Provide training to production on all new processes, procedural changes, or equipment implementation. 17. Implementation of a perpetual inventory management system. 18. Assist with production operations when needed. 19. Always maintain clean and safe work environment. 20. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality. 21. Reporting structure- Plant Manager Qualifications/Skills: 1. Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. 2. Two years of process engineering or QA experience 3. Experience with statistical tools such as SPC, 5S, PFMEA, and Control Plans. 4. DOT and RCRA certification required.
