The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

This internship runs from October 28th, 2024 to December 13th, 2024.

This position does require onsite work in the office in Dorval Canada.

Responsibilities:

After an initial 2-week training, your primary tasks will be to assist the permanent tech support staff with the following:

  • Support our customer base mainly through e-mail to help them properly install Zebra hardware and software PC products

  • Assist customers with a large variety of questions about programming (mainly de-bugging), video technology, PC compatibility testing and image processing

  • Communicate problems to the engineering department and conduct a follow-up with customers and sales department when a solution is available

  • Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a DEC or AEC in computer systems or any other related field

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

  • Must reside within 50 miles of the primary work location Dorval, Canada

  • Good knowledge of PC architecture and all Windows operating systems, with some basic Linux knowledge

  • Knowledge of SW languages such as C, C++ and C# in both Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET

  • Excellent knowledge of English, functional in French

  • The candidate must like to work in a dynamic, team spirited environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
