Your Role
As a First Line manager, you'll oversea the operational efficiency and performance of teams, including Team Leader and Warehouse operatives/administrators.
Your Responsibilities
Undertake effective Resource Utilisation,Planning and Management activities as required
Mentor/Coach staff and support peers as required.
Undertake Absence and discipline management activities as required.
Manage and develop the team through the completion of Conduct Performance Plans and Reviews (PPRs), to ensure succession planning/talent management is in place.
Conduct Line Manager Briefs as required.
Manage Staff Training and Competency to ensure achievement of all requirements, on time and in full, including conducting training needs analysis.
Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements.
Managing stock integrity.
Your Skills and Experiences
Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment along with warehouse system experience
Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems
Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
