Your Role

As a First Line manager, you'll oversea the operational efficiency and performance of teams, including Team Leader and Warehouse operatives/administrators.

Your Responsibilities

  • Undertake effective Resource Utilisation,Planning and Management activities as required

  • Mentor/Coach staff and support peers as required.

  • Undertake Absence and discipline management activities as required.

  • Manage and develop the team through the completion of Conduct Performance Plans and Reviews (PPRs), to ensure succession planning/talent management is in place.

  • Conduct Line Manager Briefs as required.

  • Manage Staff Training and Competency to ensure achievement of all requirements, on time and in full, including conducting training needs analysis.

  • Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements.

  • Managing stock integrity.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment along with warehouse system experience

  • Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate

  • Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness

  • Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement

  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work

  • Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems

  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
