Senior Service Engineer (DeltaV DCS/AMS)

You will be a focal point for customer technical support, including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. You will advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer happiness!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Providing recommendations to the customer on product or solutions, improvements, and system health checks

  • Performing and leading service projects and taking ownership of customer coordination.

  • Providing resolution of major technical issues and resolving Customer disruptions

  • Perform on-site services such as Modification works (eMOCs), Fixing, support Emergency On-call, Site Evaluation Services and Basic to Guide Cybersecurity Assessment.

  • Managing a team of service engineers as required and lead assigned installed-base Maintenance executions.

  • Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Policy and Procedures

  • Finish all assigned Technical Training and Safety Training for Personal Development on a priority and to secure Professional to Guide Certifications.

  • Be aware of the latest updates, KBAs and new features in DeltaV control system and Cybersecurity products.

  • Provide technical expertise for products to support customers in diagnostics and solving of Difficult technical issues raising/collaborating with Emerson GSC and Product Engineering to help resolve product issues.

  • Proactively identify Service / Product opportunities and serve as Sales Ambassador on site and communicate sales leads to the Sales Team.

  • Perform and lead projects and take ownership of lead client support activities such as site survey, feed study, site installation, start-up and commissioning services and customer training.

  • Develop various design documentation including system architecture, functional design specifications, Software design Specifications, and Method Statements, in accordance with project requirements.

  • Aligning with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports, Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis, Incident Reporting, and all other documentation in line with Emerson's internal procedures.

Who you are?

  • A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational awareness

  • Knowledgeable in Programming Languages is a plus (Visual Basic, C++, Java, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel 25-40% (International).

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering education (including control engineering, computer engineering, Instrumentation, or electronics, Electrical, etc.) from an accredited University or College

  • Validated experience in crafting and implementing control systems installation with Emerson’s DeltaV system.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proven track record in DeltaV DCS / SIS installation and DeltaV Cybersecurity implementation both Onshore / Offshore O&G.

  • This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries, with validated years of hands-on experience in Emerson-related products.

  • Experience in Cybersecurity implementation in Industrial Control systems (McAfee AV, Whitelisting, SIEM/NSM)

  • Knowledgeable in Information and Operational Technology (IT/OT) with Certified Networking skills (Switches / Routers), Firewalls, and Wireless Technology.

  • Holder of Associate level certification for all services the individual is performing at the site and a Professional level certificate or equivalent experience in at least one field of expertise in Emerson GLC.

  • Worked before on project management, scheduling, engineering, procurement, team coordination and sales support.

  • Holds T-BOSIET or HUET certificate and/or must be able to pass the Offshore Training and Offshore Medical requirements.

  • Enrolled on the register of Engineers in the State of Qatar or Chartered Engineer.

  • Demonstrate an effective level of written and spoken communication skills in the English language
