TMB has a challenging opportunity for an Operations Officer to support a Navy Flag Officer at the Washington Navy Yard. The Operations Officer will coordinate all operational priorities between the Rear Admiral and staff.

  • Coordinate tasking and priorities on behalf of the Flag Officer and two Senior Executive Service civilians to subordinate organizations.

  • Supervise several Executive Assistants in the accomplishment of their respective responsibilities.

  • 10 years of experience working on the staff of a DOD Flag Officer or SES.

  • Prior service as an O-4 or O-5 officer in the U.S. Navy, or at equivalent rank in the Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, or Coast Guard.

  • Proactive and excellent customer service.

  • Creativity, poise, and flexibility in support of Flag Officer and SES leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint preferred.

  • Must be willing to work 50+ hours per week (with compensation for all hours worked).

  • Must be a United States citizen.

  • Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.

  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.

  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
