TMB has a challenging opportunity for an Operations Officer to support a Navy Flag Officer at the Washington Navy Yard. The Operations Officer will coordinate all operational priorities between the Rear Admiral and staff.
Coordinate tasking and priorities on behalf of the Flag Officer and two Senior Executive Service civilians to subordinate organizations.
Supervise several Executive Assistants in the accomplishment of their respective responsibilities.
10 years of experience working on the staff of a DOD Flag Officer or SES.
Prior service as an O-4 or O-5 officer in the U.S. Navy, or at equivalent rank in the Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, or Coast Guard.
Proactive and excellent customer service.
Creativity, poise, and flexibility in support of Flag Officer and SES leadership.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint preferred.
Must be willing to work 50+ hours per week (with compensation for all hours worked).
Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance.
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
