Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Packaging/Federal Reserve Vault and Single Note Inspection Division DCF. As a Packaging & Federal Reserve Depository Vault Supervisor, you will be fully responsible for supervising, coordinating, and controlling the daily work operations of work areas under the Packaging and Federal Reserve Vault Section. Responsibilities The BEP is currently in the process of having a new facility built in Beltsville, MD and expect to move to the new facility within the next 5 years. If selected, you may be sent and/or reassigned to the new Beltsville facility. By applying to this position, you understand this potential requirement. As a Packaging & Federal Reserve Depository Vault Supervisor, you will: Plan, direct, and supervise all Packaging and Federal Reserve Depository vault operations - ensuring content of all processes and Cash Paks are verified against accompanying Transfer I Delivery Schedules. Prior to the beginning of each work shift, open the Federal Reserve Vault and close at the end of shift each workday as well as input or direct the input of receipts from Cope Pak to Packaging and from Packaging to the Federal Reserve Depository Vault. Perform daily spot inventories of all stock. Input or direct the input of all required data in the Federal Reserve Board's Currency Ordering System (COS) as well as input or direct the input of BEN transactions for moving currency to different bins, sales orders, update shipments and removing currency from inventory after the shipment has left the FRDV dock. Prepare or direct the preparation of the Schedule of Delivery of all currency delivered to the FRDV on a daily basis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Physical Requirements: The incumbent must be able to lift 70 lbs. (Lifting one end of a roll of plastic film that weighs 140 lbs.) Requires standing, walking, pulling, pushing reaching above the shoulders, use of fingers and hands, bending, kneeling. Operation of forklift required. Requires near vision (glasses permitted). Peripheral vision required. Work is performed in an adequately air conditioned, heated, and lighted ventilated industrial plant area. Continually exposed to noise from printing and examining machinery. Exposed to dry atmospheric conditions, dust, fumes, smoke, or gases. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for workdays during the shutdown period. A one-year probationary period may be required.
