The Sales Specialist - Visualization takes on an end-to-end responsibility in the sales & commissioning process going from targeting the right accounts to the execution of OR audits, leading the trial processes, negotiating and closing deals, delivery, installation and training of the clinical staff in the use of the DePuy Synthes capital equipment/hardware with focus on MITEK’s Sports Medicine portfolio (arthroscopic visualization systems). She/he also serves as a liaison between commercial and support functions of the organization and holds responsibility for relevant administrative aspects of hardware field deployment. She/he might gradually also take on extra responsibilities within the broader capital equipment portfolio of DePuy Synthes.


Capital equipment sales:

  • Collaborates with the clinical sales force in the identification of the right target accounts

  • Uses a structured sales process to drive an opportunity through the different stage gates from the early stage lead identification to the closing of the deal.

  • Drafts quotations and supports tender submissions

  • Negotiates and discusses different financial models with the customer

  • Takes care of setting up service agreements

  • Promotes hardware and relevant technologies during educational and scientific events

  • Develops promotion and training materials for internal and external trainings and events

  • Supports marketing team with planning, product management and new product introductions

    Clinical Application Support:

  • Leads necessary technical steps to prepare for DePuy Synthes hardware installation in the operating room (OR)

  • Supports customers with obtaining all necessary theoretical and practical skills operating hardware in OR

  • Trains customers, sales and clinical teams on hardware usage and application

  • Serves as first point of contact for customers’ and teams’ hardware questions

  • Provides clinical on-site support on hardware usage during new product introductions and/or complex procedures

  • Supports sales team and customers with technical troubleshooting

  • Visits ORs with hardware on regular basis to ensure its optimal usage, storage and maintenance

    Aftersales & Customer Support Coordination :

  • Serves as commercial organization’s main DRI for Supply Chain, Technical Service and other internal stakeholders on hardware placement, usage, maintenance and repairs

  • Oversees design and smooth implementation of processes, relevant to hardware selling (placement), maintenance and repairs including but not limiting to liaising with other internal function to assure flowless service provision to customers

  • Holds up-to-date knowledge of hardware field presence status

  • Observes and reports her/his ideas on processes and approaches’ improvements

  • Coordinates loaner hardware procurement, allocation and deployment


  • Connects with EMEA colleagues on hardware relevant topics and serves as DRI for hardware inquiries

  • Serves as a point of contact for R&D team

  • Ensures all necessary hardware-relevant quality and compliance measures are respected


  • Proven successful experience in Endoscopy ( Surgical Visualization) of more than 3 years

  • Higher education degree in business, engineering or equivalent (required)

  • Specialization in Medical Devices (strongly preferred)

  • Min 5 years of technical experience with Medical Devices (required)

  • Experience within orthopedics (preferred)

  • Readiness to be present in OR during orthopedic surgeries (required)

  • Fluency in Dutch, English and French (required)

  • Proactive problem solving/solution seeking

  • Ability to navigate in multi-function corporate environment

  • Readiness to complete all necessary hospital- and government-imposed requirements and to follow all existing hospital and OR presence guidelines (required)

  • Strong organizational and planning skills
