Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling and assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy and completeness, conducting inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts. Perform receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operate forklift equipment. Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, performing restroom and general office maintenance, etc. Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management. Perform other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Pull and assemble customer orders

• Check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness

• Conduct inventory stock checks

• Restock and label vendor products

• Maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.)

• Move, store, and replenish material

• Conduct daily cycle counts

• Receive and unload inbound material

• Process inbound shipments

• Notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims

• Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.

• Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules and reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse environment. Employees will use various equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. The work schedule is the first shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The facility is maintained clean and organized, with regular sweeping, trash removal, and general maintenance. Safety is a priority, with strict adherence to safety rules and prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dickson, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
