Minn-Dak Growers LTD Qualified Millers/ Operators in DICKINSON, North Dakota
Reports to:Milling Supervisor and Senior Management.
Consults with: OtherManagement, Quality Assurance and Supervisors.
Position Alternate Tasks:
- Must take on the roles of the supervisor or other millers in the event of absences.
- Must be able to fill in for production employees as necessary to maintain smooth operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility: Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that plant operations are compliant with food safety regulations (domestic and global, ex. AIB, BRC, GFSI etc.) and occupational safety regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc)
Production Operations:
- Follow the orders of management and supervisors to mill products according to the production schedule and to attain most profitable product yields.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Must communicate milling issues or concerns to the supervisor in charge.
- Work with management and the maintenance department to sustain integrity and function of processing equipment and components.
- Perform processing control checks according to procedures and specification requirements.
- Perform preoperative/ post sanitation inspections to ensure that equipment is intact, and is free from build up or other contaminants.
- Must verify the function of processing equipment according to the food safety program (i.e. metal detector, etc.).
- Maintain sufficient documentation in support of the food safety program.
Overall responsibility:Perform milling operations in the assigned milling department.
