City of Dickinson EMS Educator in Dickinson, North Dakota

The City of Dickinson Fire Department is looking for a dedicatedEMS Educatorto join our team! As the EMS Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering comprehensive Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training programs for our fire department personnel. Salary:$69,000 per year, depending on qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and deliver EMS training programs, including certification and recertification
  • Ensure all training meets National Registry and State of North Dakota standards
  • Collaborate with the Training Captain to assess department needs and adapt curricula
  • Maintain accurate training and certification records
  • Assist in developing EMS protocols with the Division Chief of EMS
  • Respond to emergency calls, providing ALS/BLS care as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Associate/Bachelors in EMS Administration preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of EMS instructor experience
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP)-Preferred (NRP to be obtained within two years of hire if AEMT).
  • North Dakota AEMT or Paramedic Licensure (must be obtained upon hire if from out-of-state).
  • ND EMS Instructor/Coordinator or NAEMSE Instructor Level I
