PRIMARY PURPOSE: It is the responsibility of the Security Officer 1st Responder to provide basic emergency medical needs to Team Members and casino/hotel guests while providing excellent customer service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures, within the framework and intent of the MGM Grand Detroit Mission Statement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintains a high level of skill, performance, and interest in all aspects of the Security Department’s operations, rules, and procedures.• Provides basic emergency needs to both internal and external guest while on property. That meets the high standards of the MGM Grand Security Department.• Ensures the personal safety and security of team members, guests and hotel/casino property. Maintains security and safety for assigned areas.• Maintains working knowledge of the locations of various departments, access routes, and emergency exits.• Maintains focus and awareness within an environment containing numerous distractions, people and noise.• Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs.• Responds effectively to guest inquiries related to MGM Grand Detroit and the downtown Detroit area providing excellent guest service.• Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies Security Supervisors and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.• Perform other job-related duties as requested. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or equivalent. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • License by the State of Michigan for Emergency Technician
