Project Manager-AOT Courts

Essential functions (job duties):

Reports to the Associate Director and Principal Investigator (PI) and is responsible for the effective, efficient and coordinated management of various projects and initiatives focused onAssisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) and Courts diversion programs and strategiesacross Michigan for the School of Social Work Center for Behavioral Health and Justice (CBHJ). Serves as program, grant, and project liaison with center, school, university, and external partners in support of the project success.

Daily management of assigned projects including use of fundamental project management processes, methodologies, tools and techniques and daily supervision, direction, planning, and prioritization of staff to ensure project success.

Responsible for on-boarding, coaching, counseling, and performance management/evaluation of project staff.

Communicate project progress and milestones to funders, partners staff, and others as required by the grant(s) or requested by directors or PI including written reports and presentations.

Participate in the development and regular monitoring of project budgets including monitoring budget expenditures according to WSU and grant agency requirements and primary approval of all staff travel and expense requests and reimbursements.

Serve asAOT/Courtsexpert for internal and external partners and grant initiatives including demonstrated knowledge and experience in the community and working collaboratively and productively key partners and agencies; and knowledge and application of center, county, state, and federal priorities, laws and policies applicable to center projects within the county.

Primary, day-to-day liaison to internal and external partners and maintaining high-level partnerships.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or Criminal Justice, orequivalent experience.

Experience Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)

Experience with development, implementation, and evaluation of services and interventions across the Sequential Intercept Model with specific expertise onIntercepts 0 - 3. Experience working within and navigating county- and state-level systems across the state including jail/prison, public and behavioral health, human services, law enforcement, first responders, community corrections, and courts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Program Management: Able to independently manage a variety of grants while ensuring appropriate quality control and follow-up.

Supervisory Skills: Able to delegate responsibilities, support, manage and, if necessary, discipline staff.

Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with established deadlines and pressure.

Communication Skills: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage a variety of relationships with various partners.

Interpersonal Skills: Able to build cooperative, effective relationships, facilitate communication and understanding among professionals. The ability to build consensus, anticipate problems and difficult situations, and develop workable strategies and solutions.

Results oriented: Demonstrated strong skills and a track record for sustained measurement of program and project outcomes, ability to work independently and with others to achieve desired results. Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize project management processes, methodologies and tools.
