Organization and Employee Development Consultant

Essential functions (job duties):
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Organization and Employee Development (OED), this position drives organization performance and business results by optimizing and growing the performance capability of the workforce through the assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of talent management solutions. Design instructional content in digital, print and presentation formats leveraging technology to support campus-wide learning and performance initiatives. Consult with HR colleagues and university leaders to design and deliver organizational development interventions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Diagnose root cause performance gaps at an individual, group, and organizational level; draw upon significant experience utilizing assessments to ascertain training and performance needs, including, but not limited to, surveys, interviews with employees, and/or consultation with leaders, culture/climate assessments, leadership/360-degree reviews, and team-based performance tools.
Design and develop learning strategies that support organizational goals and quality outcomes utilizing interactive multimedia and on-demand deliveries. These strategies may include virtual classroom training, mobile learning, web based training, instructor led workshops, self-paced simulations, webinars/video conferencing, job aids, video, etc.
Work with the Director, OED in the design, development, and implementation of people strategies, programs and policies tailored to meet University and school/division/department objectives. Design and execute key programmatic elements of a talent management framework. Develop key performance indicators to measure employee engagement, development, recognition, and retention programs as well as curriculum/intervention success; utilizes metrics to make evidence-based program and service improvements. Evaluate face-to-face and online education programs to measure overall effectiveness; implement changes as necessary to strengthen program outcomes.
Collaborate with all levels of leadership throughout the camps and other key stakeholders; deliver polished, poised presentations, and facilitate performance interventions in an interactive and inclusive manner; demonstrate eLearning offerings with targeted presentations; ensure comprehensive and integrated solutions to organizational training issues.
Assess how technology is used, experienced, and supported in terms of professional development offerings; provide recommendations for better leveraging technology based on campus priorities; perform external benchmarking to continuously monitor opportunities for integrating technology into learning solutions. Research, recommend, and implement appropriate and innovative technology to support campus-wide and client-specific instructional and performance goals.
Maintain learning management system updates, learner transcripts, and reports; troubleshoot user account issues as needed; work with vendors ensuring systems compatibility; maximize user experience and promote/market learning programs.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, instructional technology, organizational effectiveness, organizational behavior, human resources, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of enterprise-wide employee engagement, development, recognition and retention programs. Experience in the development and delivery of in-house programs; facilitating and coordinating learning and professional development programs; and developing and delivering training sessions utilizing a variety of learning modalities. Experience utilizing and managing learning platforms (e.g. – LMS, LinkedIn Learning, Skillsoft etc.).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication and presentation skills including both oral and written communication.
Knowledge of andragogy and instructional design concepts and practices and the ability to identify different learning styles and to select optimal delivery methods to achieve desired outcomes.
Knowledge of talent management systems and learning management software.
Exceptional time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Ability to deal with time constraints and effectively manage deadlines.
Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking and effective problem-solving in ambiguous situations, project organization and management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with both colleagues and clients.
