Description

We are in the process of recruiting a Corp Senior Auditor to join our team based in Detroit, Michigan. As a Corp Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting operational and financial audits, supporting compliance and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and managing special projects. This role is crucial in our non-automotive industry, ensuring that our financial operations are running smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational and financial audits for domestic operations and corporate office functional activities, including treasury, risk management, financial reporting, legal and human resources

• Support the implementation and compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 across the organization's operating units

• Assist in the development of risk-based audit plans for operation and business process areas

• Identify potential opportunities for operational effectiveness improvement, including profit improvement and cost control

• Aid management in identifying, distributing, and applying best practices throughout the business units

• Identify audit exceptions, determine root causes for issues raised, and develop practical solutions

• Ensure compliance of operating units within company policies and procedures, and recommend improvements for controls, process, and operation functions

• Manage special projects, including acquisition due diligence and additional projects as required

• Provide support to external auditors

• Prepare materials for Audit Committee meetings and participate in meetings with the firm's executive management team

Requirements • Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Auditor in a corporation.

• Proficiency in Financial Auditing is a crucial requirement for this role.

• Strong competence in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• A proven track record in auditing and financial analysis is required.

• The ability to meticulously examine financial records and statements for accuracy and compliance.

• Demonstrated experience in identifying and addressing financial discrepancies.

• Exceptional ability to compile, verify, analyze, interpret, and disseminate critical financial data.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as being a cooperative team player when required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital.

• The candidate must be detail-oriented with impressive organizational and planning skills.

• High level of integrity and professionalism, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

• Candidates should be able to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.

• The ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities is essential.
