nVent Commercial Business Development Manager HOFFMAN in Detroit, Michigan

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

 

Sales Leadership

 

Drive growth in the commercial vertical for the nVent HOFFMAN brand and become the champion for the initiative for the US.

 

Passionately develop new growth ideas and opportunities.

 

Provide business updates to management and segment teams on a regular cadence.

 

Drive collaboration across nVent brand that operates in the commercial vertical market.

 

Growth Program

 

Develop key end customer accounts, regionally and nationally.

 

Position Hoffman and nVent as the brand of choice within key accounts.

 

Lead key end customers across all nVnet brands via coordinating sales efforts with nVent piers.

 

Identify large-scale commercial projects. Work to identify the electrical spend and orchestrate the sales team to align to win.

 

Strategic Vision and Execution

 

Actively engage with commercial contractors and key account customer base to understand market needs, trends, and demand generation levers. Co-develop new growth ideas with product management and marketing teams (NPI, Marketing programs)

 

Develop relationship and proactive communication with senior management, sales, channel, product management, and marketing teams to align work priorities and drive collaboration to execute growth roadmap

 

Coordinate field activities and communications to align with key customer electrical spending.

 

Represent nVent in client meetings and assist in negotiations/strategy sessions

 

YOU HAVE:

 

Bachelor's degree preferred

 

Ideally 8 + years of national business development activities in the commercial vertical market.

 

Ability to work remotely and travel nationally up to 60% of the time, within the US. Normal travel will be 30-40% on average. We have this role posted across many cities in the US, but will only be making 1 hire*

 

A passion for finding and fostering new relationships with all levels within customer organizations.

 

Passion for engaging with different teams to execute a strategic plan with project management

 

Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and diplomacy internally and externally in a selling environment.

 

Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals in a clear and compelling manner.
