Insight Global Administrative Assistant in Detroit, Michigan

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit client in Detroit, Michigan. The administrative assistant will report to the Director of Development and will be required to be onsite Monday-Friday from either 7:00AM-3:00PM EST or 8:00AM-4:00PM EST. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including late afternoons/early evenings and some Saturdays as needed for events.

Day to Day responsibilities include:

·Answer and direct phone call on behalf of the Director 

·Check voicemails and return donor phone calls on behalf of the Director

·Send email correspondence on behalf of the Director as needed

·Act as a presence in the office during Director's absences for meetings or travel to Provincial ministries.

·Serve as a point of contact for donors, lawyers, vendors, etc.

·Answer donor questions related to Planned Giving and Estates

·Field calls about charitable gift annuities and gather necessary information for the Development Director.

·Be the contact for lawyers and donors regarding inquiries about Estates

·Collect and organize information for the Development Director.

·Help maintain and manage Estate files.

·Assist with ordering office supplies.

·Open mail, code invoices and send to finance for payments

·Help organize special donor events

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience as an administrative assistant

Experience working and or volunteering for a nonprofit organization

Experience with answering phones, email and calendar management, scheduling meetings, etc.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once Prior experience supporting director level leadership or c-level executives

Prior experience working for a Catholic faith-based organization

Bachelors Degree null
