Job Description:

Seeking a Basic Care Aide to serve at Oak Crossing, Essentia Health's long-term care facility in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. This employee assists our residents with activities of daily living, providing cares that do not require a certification and are within their scope of practice. This employee works on a casual, as-needed basis, picking up open shifts. Some weekends and holidays are required.

What You'll Do:

Responsible to assist the licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal cares per individualized care plans to maintain the personal comfort of the resident as assigned. Works to maintain a clean, safe and organized environment for the residents. Assists with basic personal cares, including assistance in with meal setup and water pass. Provides activity and exercise for the residents as assigned. Assists residents in dealing with psychosocial needs. Responsible for observing and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor. Completes all required documentation in a complete and timely manner. May assist with entrance screening and other duties as assigned.
