Principal Reporting Analyst in Des Moines, Iowa
On the Operations Analytics team, you will be supporting our business partners by providing compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and meaningful insights around their objectives. This can include building/operating automated processes for data extraction, ingestion, storage, and processing of data sets. The candidate will collaborate with business areas to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve self-serve data solutions.
Under general direction, identify and provide complex technical and business solutions to meet business strategy. May provide leadership throughout all phases of assigned activities.
Manage and coordinate report requests using multiple data sources. Consult with internal and external customers on their specific report requests. Responsible for quality, consistent, timely, and accurate reporting related to our products and services.
Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate needs and requirements into systems requirements specifications. Analyze, research, develop, and test system and process changes for business needs. Act as a liaison between business partners and technical areas.
Create, manage, and update accessible content for corporate intranet sites. This includes interaction with business partners, product, and compliance groups to create content that supports the corporate web strategy.
Perform database administration tasks for secured relational database systems. Responsibilities include physical database design, implementation, change control, backup/recovery, data integration, security, end-user training, etc.
Prepare and maintain documentation of team processes and other information in support of the business continuity efforts of the Division.
Diagnose and resolve computer-related issues and answer technical questions from users located throughout the United States. Provide PC and systems-related training for end users. Manage PC inventory including ordering and installing new equipment, moving existing equipment, and maintaining inventory documentation.
Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Develop business tools to increase user efficiency and accuracy.
Conduct training activities, including the development and implementation of training materials. Work with other staff in formal and informal mentoring relationships to support the acquisition of knowledge and expanded skill-sets. Provide feedback to management concerning problem situations.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent directly related work experience
3+ years experience with financial services industry is ideal
Requires three years experience with a combination of reporting, business analyst, web developer, database administrator, and PC support role
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications
Excellent planning and organizational skills, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and written communication skills
Detail oriented with a high rate of accuracy and have solid math skills
Able to maintain confidentiality
Possess strong interpersonal, organizational/leadership, and negotiation skills
Able to manage conflicting priorities and adhere to strict deadlines
Willing to provide on-call support, and be willing to work hours beyond a 40-hour workweek on a regular basis, including evenings and weekends
Candidates with MS Office certification strongly preferred
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
$49300 - $96000 / year
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
