Shift:

What you will do:

Assumes accountability for maintaining medical imaging workflow in the OR. Works with managers and other team leaders to coordinate staff scheduling in the OR with scheduling in the department. Engaged and attentive to the specific imaging needs of the OR and the operating physicians. Under limited direction of the manager and with medical direction of the radiologist and surgeons, performs X-ray exams and proficiently runs the c-arm, o-arm and stealth unit for neuro and ortho surgery cases, while maintaining related documentation; provides general assistance to the radiologist films and provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff. Positive working relationships with peers, management and customers are maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

a. Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.

b. Registered Radiologic Technologist. Experience in regular surgery rotations and trauma surgery imaging is preferred.

c. Maintains active registry status in ARRT.

d. Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice.

e. Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

f. Maintains Basic Life Support qualification

  • Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

  • Actively supportive of management staff

  • Helps develop and maintains competencies for all respective employees

  • Able to take call independently within 6 months of completing formal and OTJ training and associated competencies
