The Role

The SAP Procure-To-Pay (PTP) Sr Technology Consultant will need to have a broad understanding of the PTP processes ensuring the implementation of standard and best practices enabled by SAP MM in the S/4HANA environment. The candidate will actively participate in the implementation of the SAP Materials Management solutions across all functional areas. The resource will require strong integration knowledge with other related SAP modules – SD, LE, WM, PP, QM, FI/CO and integration experience with 3 rd party / custom application like 3PL, Freight Forwarders.


  • 5–9 years of relevant functional experience in SAP Materials Management module, with a minimum of 1-3 full end to end implementation.

  • Experience working as a MM Team Member.

  • Experience using SAP implementation tools such as Best Practices, ASAP/Activate terminology & Scrum Agile framework.

  • Good PTP process understanding in addition to SAP system architecture, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of the PTP functionalities offered in S/4HANA (Simplification List, PTP Workflows, Fiori Tiles, Best Practices, etc. )

  • Overall knowledge of the technical functionalities offered in S/4HANA (API’s, In-App extensibility, Business Events, Situation Handling, BRF+, etc. ) is a plus

  • Good understanding of all PTP process like Consignment, Subcontract, Intercompany & Intracompany Stock Transport Order, Returns, ERS process, Purchasing Rebates, Requisition, RFQ, Quotes, Quota Management and approval process with & without classification, Inventory management, Material reservation, Confirmations, Custom movement design experience, Material valuation, Automatic account assignment, Consumption based MRP, Invoice management, debit & credit memo, GR/IR clearing, inbound and Replenishment deliveries

  • Good knowledge in procurement related master and transactional data conversions.

  • Should be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision, involving relevant Business/Process/IT teams, 3rd party resources and external trading partners

What We Look For in a Candidate

This person should possess soft skills to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of the organization, drive the PTP team to deliver and meet the project timelines. The right candidate also needs in depth knowledge of Best Practice and have designed the process using them in their previous implementations.

  • Able to maintain poise and composure under pressure in relatively ambiguous and complex situations.

  • Independent thinking with keen problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to changing schedules, and multiple work plans

  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Usage of HP ALM, Jira (epics, stories, tasks) or other collaboration and defect tracking tools is a plus.
