Job summary:
The role involves managing and maintaining Kubernetes Platform environments with a focus on RedHat OpenShift. Key responsibilities include rebuilding clusters, upgrading OpenShift clusters, troubleshooting runtime issues, and collaborating with development teams for service container deployment. Critical skills include expertise in RedHat OpenShift (version 4.x), Podman utility, zero-trust OCP cluster configuration, and OAuth2 security implementation. Familiarity with API Gateway tools like Kong and experience with service authorization models using identity management tools such as Keycloak are beneficial. Ideal candidates will also have experience with OCP cluster administration in production, OKD environments, and implementing MFA/SSO with RedHat SSO (Keycloak).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer multiple Kubernetes Platform environments implemented specifically on the RedHat OpenShift platform
Be able to manually rebuild any one of our existing clusters for any reason. This would include Sandbox, Dev, Test, & Prod
Provide bi-annual or quarterly upgrades to our existing OpenShift (OCP) clusters
Help troubleshoot any existing or new runtime issues that we may experience on any of our OCP clusters
Be able to work with Development teams and help troubleshoot any issues within an existing or new service container deployments
Critical Skills/Knowledge:
Must have experience with the Red Hat OpenShift container platform. Platform version experience needed includes 4.x
Must have experience with the Podman desktop utility.
Experience with configuring a zero trust OCP cluster.
Experience with configuring a service authorization model utilizing Keycloak, or like identity management tools
Experience with an OAuth2 security implementation is a must
Any experience with an API Gateway, including but not limited to Kong is a definite advantage
Ideal Skills/Knowledge Includes:
Experience with the administration and runtime support of an OCP cluster in a production environment
Ideal Skills/Knowledge Include Experience with an OKD cluster or environment would be extremely beneficial
Experience implementing MFA and/or SSO with RedHat SSO (Keycloak) would be a definite plus
Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position is $91,457- $137,186 , plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
