Job Title: Fiber Optic Technician / Construction Laborer
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Summary:
Join the leading provider of communications infrastructure - Specializing in the design and implementation of structured cabling, network systems, and wireless solutions, delivering high quality services across the country in the field of fiber optic technology.
Key Responsibilities (will be trained in):
Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic cables and telecommunications equipment.
Assist with pulling, routing, and terminating copper and fiber optic cabling.
Perform general labor tasks such as site clean-up, material handling, and equipment organization.
Conduct testing and documentation of fiber optic systems.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion.
Work Environment:
Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7:00am - 5:00pm / OT Available
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor working elements.
Active job-site - equipment & material consistently being moved around, multiple crews, various locations.
Required to wear steel-toed work boots and jeans. Will be provided PPE gear.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
Proven experience in either: fiber optics / telecommunications / general construction / electrical
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
