Construction Installer Technician (Commercial Furniture)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Status: Hiring / Full-Time / Weekly Pay

Schedule & Pay: Monday - Friday / 7:00 am - 4:00 pm / $19-$22 hr.

Job Description: As an Installer Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering and assembling furniture at various commercial job sites. Your expertise will ensure that installations are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for following blueprints and assembly instructions while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Furniture Delivery & Assembly: Deliver and assemble a variety of commercial furniture pieces on job sites, ensuring proper installation according to specifications.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Follow blueprints and assembly instructions to determine the correct placement and assembly of furniture items.

  • Logistics Management: Load and unload furniture from trucks, ensuring safe transport to and from job sites.

  • Site Preparation: Prepare and clean job sites, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

  • Cabinet & Bookshelf Installation: Mount cabinets and bookshelves as required, ensuring stability and adherence to design specifications.

Work Environment:

  • This role involves traveling in company vehicles to various commercial job sites and office locations across Des Moines.

  • Each day begins at our warehouse for truck loading, followed by travel to installation sites and installation of all material requested by clients.

  • Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

  • Experience: Proven experience in the construction field, installation experience preferred but not required.

  • Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to understand and interpret installation drawings and blueprints effectively.

  • Physical Ability: Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture items as needed.
