Roles & Responsibilities:
Contractor Responsible Engineer for Signalling Design
Design authority sign off of signalling schemes, ensuring the design of the technical solution fits the customer project needs in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery
Interface with Project Engineer / Engineering Manager
Undertaking CRE role when working on Network Rail projects.
Checking and Verification of project design work and data deliverables.
Support on project bids and project management on design and data configuration.
Compliance of railway standards and regulations.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
IRSE licenced Designer in both 1.1.510 & 1.1.160 Design and Verification.
University degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
At least 10 years experience in relevant positions (systems / sub-systems application design or integration) in railway signalling including Interlocking, Level Crossings, and Axle Counters
Development of Scheme Plans, Design Logs, Control tables, Bonding plans, and Location designs
Desired Skills:
Good analytical skill and previous experience in system design & integration.
Good communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills
Customer focus - ability to build and develop customer & supplier relationships
Organisational agility
