Buffalo Solar Installer in Depew, New York
Job Description Buffalo's fastest-growing solar company is looking for experienced Solar Installers to join our team. As our company grows, we are looking to add hardworking individuals to our installation crews. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, willingness to work as part of a team, and put value on safety. Any experience within the solar industry, including installations of roof-mounts, ground-mounts, and (bonus points!) pole- and carport- mounted solar arrays, is considered a huge plus. Our company services all of WNY, so position requires a decent amount of local travel, in company- issued vehicles. The large majority of work is outdoors, so be prepared for long days in sometimes extreme temperatures (cold or hot). Certain seasons may require substantial overtime. Responsibilities Include: Installing roof attachments, rail, and solar panels Wiring solar panels to inverter, bending pipe, laying conduit Some cement work, hand digging required Maintenance of company vehicles and warehouse supply (alert Supervisor when stock levels are low) Communicate with Installation Supervisor for daily duties Have no problems carrying up to 75 lbs. frequently, often up and down ladders Must have own tools (certain specialty tools will be supplied by company) Maintain a professional appearance at all times Attend all required company training meetings Requirements Construction background preferred Solar experience not required, but considered a plus Experience working on rooftops in all weather conditions Clean safety record Clean driving record Valid NYS Driver's License Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repetitively Ability to follow directions Strong work ethic Preferred Education and Certifications: Associates Degree in mechanical, engineering or construction related field NABCEP Certification highly desired OSHA 10 Certification, OSHA 30 preferred Valid Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain one within first 30 days of employment) We pride ourselves on being a great local, family-owned, solar company.
