Software Developer (Contract-to-Hire)

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team, working on a customer-facing project. This role involves working on a large-scale codebase with over 2 million lines of code and collaborating closely with a cross-functional team, including Project Managers, Business Analysts (BA), Quality Assurance (QA) professionals, and Product Managers. You will be part of a team of 4 developers, and each team has a robust support structure to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain customer-facing forms and applications that integrate seamlessly with external customers using Angular, C#, and Azure services.

• Implement asynchronous programming techniques to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring responsive and efficient program execution, especially during long-running tasks.

• Work with SQL, blob storage, Kosmos, and noSQL databases in a microservices-like environment, with a strong focus on testing methodologies.

• Manage code repositories, primarily using GitHub (or other version control systems), with experience in trunk-based branching or flow.

• Collaborate in an Agile/DevOps environment with Azure DevOps to plan and execute 3-week sprints.

• Participate in regular sprint planning (1-2 hour sessions every 1-2 weeks) and sprint refinements to improve project delivery and team coordination.

• Conduct or participate in unit testing of your code, reviewing code from peers, and receiving feedback constructively to improve code quality.

Must-Have Skills:

• Angular, C#, Azure: Experience with asynchronous programming techniques for managing simultaneous tasks, enhancing program responsiveness.

• Experience with SQL, blob storage, Kosmos, and noSQL databases.

• Understanding and hands-on experience with repository management: particularly using GitHub or other version control systems.

• Azure DevOps experience: proficient in Agile methodology and familiar with 3-week sprint cycles.

• Solid experience working in teams with shorter sprint cycles (1-2 week sprints with 3rd week refinement).

• Unit testing: Proven experience in testing your own code, conducting code reviews, and providing/receiving feedback constructively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale, complex codebases and customer-facing projects.

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and manage code quality through effective testing and version control practices.

• Comfortable working with distributed teams and large projects that require a high degree of code maintenance and collaboration.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Developer or similar role

• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology and principles

• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB

• Familiarity with Angular and C# programming language

• Understanding of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATS)

• Experience with NoSQL databases

• Ability to utilize Code Repositories efficiently

• Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile principles

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards long-term goals
